In a world filled with distraction, it is almost impossible to hear the voice within--the voice connecting you to the wild as a self-organizing system.

about us

Wild Women is a nonprofit organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area. We integrate perspectives from the humanities, arts, and sciences in an outdoor setting to inspire and catalyze self-knowledge and personal growth. Tapping into the transformative potential of the natural world allows us to gain skills imperative to facing future personal, societal, and environmental challenges for the 21st century.

Our Mission

The mission of Wild Women is to educate and empower women and girls in the outdoors while building resilient communities. The goal is to reconnect people with themselves, each other, and the land.

goals

·       To support, serve, and create ecologically resilient communities through educating and empowering individuals.

·       To address inequities and systemic injustices in the environmental sector.

·       To connect historically under represented communities to natural places.

“I have to go to the woods, and I have to meet the wolf, or else my life will never begin.”
